Food Access Summit

The conference is put together by MDE, MDH, University of Minnesota Extension, Healthy Foods, Healthy Lives Institute of University of Minnesota, and several others.  Goal of the conference is:  Bring together people working to advance reliable access to safe, affordable, healthy food, learn from each other’s lived experiences & stories, build connections across sector, cultural perspectives, and geography and cultivate alignment and momentum toward collaborative action.  

Lois Lewis will be doing a breakout session entitled, "In the Kitchen & In the Garden: Building a Statewide Assessment Tool for Improving Food Skills in Youth Populations" at the conference on Friday, Oct. 27, with several others from the Food Skills Assessment Work Group connected with the University of Minnesota.
